Inventory and Logistics Coordinator

Permanent Full-Time Position

Reporting to the Group Leader, Test Site & Shipping/Receiving, the incumbent will:

  • Receive merchandise – check and sign delivery slips, and assist with unloading as necessary;
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, records shortages and reject
    damaged goods;
  • May operate forklift, or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods;
  • Receive merchandise into the company’s ERP system;
  • Assemble packaging materials and package merchandise per instructions, in preparation for shipment;
  • Coordinate freight movements with client and suppliers (Import/Export Shipments);
  • Execute shipments based on Incoterms;
  • Conform to verification of all documentation at time of shipment preparation (Export permits, B13 Export Declarations, Commercial Invoices, Packing Slips, Certificates (CoO, CoC, NAFTA, etc.);
  • Enter data pertaining to shipments into the company’s ERP system;
  • Follow up with shipments to help ensure on-time shipment;
  • Read, monitor and respond promptly to all incoming communications (internal & external ) in order to promptly manage and control daily operational issues;
  • Track shipments to final destination;
  • Approve suppliers’ invoices on a timely basis;
  • In a diligent and business efficient manner, solve customer complaints and implement measures to prevent service deficiencies and/or customer’s dissatisfaction;
  • On an ongoing basis, improve internal systems and procedures to favor operational efficiency;
  • Maintain internal record-keeping systems;
  • Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.


  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in export traffic coordination;
  • Good knowledge of export industry and customs regulations;
  • Export Compliance training is an asset;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Good oral communication skills, particularly when dealing with a variety of people in situations
    over telephone;
  • Strong aptitude in managing emergency situations in a business efficient manner;
  • Strong aptitude in decision making and problem solving;
  • Strong aptitude in time management;
  • Ability to review procedures and identify areas of improvement;
  • Ability to set priorities and organize workload assigned in an efficient manner;
  • Ability to work with a variety of internal customers and external vendors with time sensitive demands;
  • Must be Canadian citizen & pass relevant security clearances;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Bilingual (French & English).
